Olivia Hope Coloma, beloved newborn daughter of Ramsey and Farrah Coloma of American Canyon, died in her parents' arms at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, on April 8, 2017. After struggling with numerous conditions, she gently passed away into the loving arms of Jesus.
Her final moments were spent surrounded by family and loved ones whom she had greatly touched throughout her short, yet memorable life. Olivia was born nearly 13 weeks early, weighing only 1 lb, 13 oz. Though small in stature, she was able to grip her parents' fingers and opened her eyes at the sound of her mommy and daddy's voice when they talked to her. Despite struggling with her conditions, she showed great strength all the way until her last breath, and it was this display of strength that has greatly impacted her family's lives.
Olivia is also survived by her brothers and sister, David, Keanu, and Telorah Kawakami; her paternal grandparents, George and Connie Coloma; maternal grandparents, Ruel and Jean Gatdula; uncles and aunts, Roman Coloma, Rico Coloma, Derrick and Donna Modesto, and Regine Gatdula; cousins, Xeriah and Xydin Modesto; and godparents, Romel and Jennifer Lacap, Hazel Nabong, Joy O'Brien, Vernon Lazaro, Abel Castro, Jannyle MacDula, and Phillip Rescober.
Viewing will be held Thursday, April 20, and Friday, April 21, at Colonial Chapels in Vallejo from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For both nights, there will be services held at 7 p.m. During Friday's service, the family will be sharing Olivia's story. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 22 at Vallejo New Life Church of the Nazarene, 4200 Georgia St., with a reception to follow.
